Soccer
 
Soccer started at UES in 2002 with the help of Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Boswell and Mr. Twitty. Practices start two weeks before school begins. Practice times are up to the coaches and the games are played during the week. There is also a travel team that practices after school with Mr. Roberts at the back of the school at the field.
   
With kids needing more outlets other than football, soccor was a great choice. Monterey welcomed the change.That is why we thank Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Boswell and Mr. Twitty for there love of the school and to give kids more ways of reaching out.   

If you are a parent who loves to do thing with your child, you will enjoy this sport.  Parents volunteer their time and efforts to give our children a better outlook with more outlets.

Football

           The football program that we have is with the MYFL (Monterey Youth Football League).
This is a  program that is not affiliated with the school, but by the town.  Sign ups are done during the summer time and practices start two weeks before the school season starts.  If you miss the sign ups during the summer time, please contact someone at the school and they will get you to the appropriate person/s.  The age range is from 5-12 years of age.  There are three team groups. Pee-Wee's / A Team / and the B Team.



There are three differant games that your child can play during the summer:  they are Baseket Ball, T-Ball, Coaches Pitch and Little League.  At the end of the school year sign up sheets are handed out.  Papers are also sent to Wilson so that Wilson Elementary can also play with us. Any help is greatly welcomed by all...........
